New York City post 9/11

The topic of my research paper is how did the events of September 11th 2001 effect the residents of New York City? I want to discuss how the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center unified New Yorkers, changed many of their daily routines and changed the way many of them view security in NYC. I also want to talk about how this event stirred hate amongst some New Yorkers in the form of anti-muslim rhetoric. Overall I thought it would be interesting to discuss how this tragic day in American history effected the citizens of one of the greatest cities of earth.
