Trust is Important

From Pieces to Weight” is a paperback autobiography by Curtis James Jackson III himself. Using this book will meet the requirement of having a book as a source but will also allow me to have direct quotes by Jackson in my research paper about how being from NY influenced him. This book takes place when Jackson was a child, and how his environment reflected his future and caused him to make decisions that lead to where he is today. I trust this source because on the blurb of the book, Jackson explains “those [publicity] stories don't hold the weight, the pain, or the hope of my experience . . . this [book explains] what happened when I was trying to get rich before I died in Southside Queens.” This book allows me to shy away from T.M.Z. articles, and learn more about him directly.

“Get Rich or Die Tryin’” is Jackson's movie that aired in 2005. Having watched Jackson play himself, in a Queens, NY setting where he grew up, helped me visualize; which is why I can trust this source. I want my the readers of my research paper to visualize the way I explain how NY influenced him. I can watch the answer to my research question-- how being from new york influenced Jackson on screen. Although books and articles are said to be more detailed, Jackson’s facial expressions and also physically seeing how he wants watchers to see the environment he grew up in is key.

The article “50 Cent” published on biography.com is definitely reliable because the website has a certificate. Having watched the movie “Get Rich or Die Tryin’”, allowed me to relate what I was reading in this article in comparison to the movie. This article reads to be more of a detailed version of certain parts of the movie, like behind the scenes of Jackson's life. Unlike many articles I have been stumbling upon, this article is strictly non-fiction, not opinionated, or gossip related.
