WEEK 4 ASSIGNMENT

TRUMP'S SUPPORT FOR LOW TO PROTECT "DREAMERS" LIFTS ITS CHANCES

It was about DACA, the program which benefits about 800.000 young children that the president Trump met Democratic leaders on Thursday expecting to enhance border security with legislation to protect young, undocumented young immigrants known as “Dreamers” from deportation if it were accompanied by a “massive” border security upgrade.

This was the second time in September that tentative agreement announced by the democratic left Republican leaders in congress trying to adapt their legislative agenda that appears many set the Democrat party in the House, the Senate and the White House. “we are working on a plan for DACA”, according to Trump referring to protections for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival Program, and added that the wall will come later.

indeed, speaker Paul Ryan told he and his members support Trump, so Trump’s decision will be theirs, but he also showed his disappointment telling that Trump’s legislative solutions have to be make with the congressional majority. Trump’s decisions have been welcomed by some republican’s low makers as Senator Lamar Alexander. In contrary, many of them as Dave Brat who suggests that Trump stop signing legislation written by Democrats, dislike this changed. He thinks that this will infuriate many conservative voters. He also pretends that Trump said to the world: “Hey, as long as you get into the U.S the green light is on and eventually you are going to get to stay permanently” and he thinks that will cause a huge inflow.

Senator Lindsey Graham said:” The president is trying to cut a deal that I think would be good for the whole country”.

However, accepting this decision, Trump doesn’t mean that any legislative proposal on the so-called Dreamers may have to come from the minority party. Therefore, with a specific list of border security items, Democrats agree with Trump to beef up and enforce certain borders.

Trump finally said: “We are not looking at citizenship, we are not looking at amnesty. We are not looking at allowing people to stay here. We are working with Democrats. I just spoke with Paul Ryan, he is on board. Everybody is on board. They want to do something. We are not talking about amnesty. We are talking about____ we are talking about taking care of people, people that were brought here, people that have done a good job and were not brought here of their own volition”.
