Saturdays at museum

Saturday mornings was a special time for me and my 4 year old daughter. When I first attended College one of the classes I was enrolled in was Art History. The class required me to visit different museums for research.  I decided to take along my 4 year old daughter. My daughter loved drawing pictures. I know this was something she could learn from and would really like. We would start our Saturday mornings with a train ride into the city. Sometimes we would get to our destination early and have pancakes and orange juice for breakfast.
One of the museums we attended was the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Museum was established on April 13, 1870 and house over 100 million paints, sculptures, drawings, photographs for all over the world.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art was not one of my favorite places but I think my daughter really enjoyed. She would ask a lot of question. I remember asking one time when we visited the Egyptians exhibit was a mummy going to come out of a sarcophagus. I started to laugh and told her no. I became more interested in my projects because of her curious and funny questions.
Our favorite place to visit was the American Museum of Natural History. It was created April 6, 1869. The Museum of Natural History has 45 Exhibition halls, 28 interconnected buildings, a planetarium and library. It houses over 33 million Specimens of plants and animals, fossils, minerals, rocks, meteorites, human remains and cultural artifacts.
We spend hours looking at exhibitions. I did not mind taking my daughter with me to the museums. The museums gave us time to bond and learn something new together. When my class was over our visits to the museum did not stop. Every Saturday morning became special to me.
