We have always been to Times Square, but never asked ourselves how does that place become to be Times Square? Well, that came to my mind and why not do a research and find out.  Therefore, I believe the sources I found are going to help me a lot on finding these questions. In addition, they are trustful. First, I will read the book “The Century in Times Square” by Nancy Lee. This book contains valuable information regarding times squares and how that place became what is it today, one of the most famous places in New York Manhattan. Second, I will gather information from an article called “The changing face of time square” by Carmen Nigro. This article contains information about how times square was changing through the time and how the advertising screens that we see today in times square started. The 3rd source is a book called “Inventing Times Square: Commerce and Culture at the Crossroads of the world” by William R. Taylors, this book explains the tradition, culture, and history of time square from advertising, entertainment centers, architectural and more. The 4th and final source is a book (James)by James Traub, “The Devil’s Playground: A Century of Pleasure and Profit in Times Square.” Which explains how the modern times square has improved by adding store like Toys R Us. The author goes on and explained the dark and the light of this place and how Broadway shape times square and give it a valuable worth. I strongly believe these 3 sources are the ones that will bring the excitement, the value and the history to my research paper. I will take all the benefits from these sources to give a magnificent touch to my research.
