Broadcast Origins

In the production of Cash Cab, producer and writer Adam Steinman worked on it for two years before selling it to Discovery. Steinman having received his education from McGill University, decided to major in English with a BA. (Linkedin) Starting out as Head of Development at Lion Television for 2 years and 3 months from October 2004 to December 2006, Steinmen directed Lion’s US network and cable development efforts. (Linkedin) In creating some shows besides Cash Cab, Steinman also formatted others such as 12th Year Senior, Swat USA, Science Investigators, Evolution Of, and Discovery Rewind for MTV, Discovery, TLC, Court TV, PBS, and Discovery International. (Linkedin) For the next 3 years and 11 months, Steinman worked as VP of Development and Production for Tiger Aspect. Steinman developed and sold shows to Bravo, Lifetime, Discovery, A&E, History,TLC and TRU TV. As Executive Producer he worked on Bravo's Make Me A Supermodel, History's Extreme Trains, and A&E’s Hanson project. (Linkedin) After leaving Tiger Aspect, Steinman joined Warner Bros. International TV Production, to become Vice President of Non-Scripted International Development & Sales. Since 2016, Steinman has come to work as Vice President of  Creative, Format, Development and Sales. Cash Cab is both a game show and reality tv created while Adam Steinman was still working as Head of Development at Lion Television. Sold to Discovery and broadcast on the Discovery Channel from 2005, the game show manage to garner a good number of viewership. The concept of the game show was similar to others that task contestants on the ability to answer general knowledge as well as trivia questions. Money was like others were also used as a scoreboard.
