Usually, children are influenced by their parents, even if what the parent does is harmful, like smoking. But what happens when the parent dies from "smoking". The most interesting fact I have learned by researching how being from New York influenced Curtis James Jackson III (50 Cent), was that his mother died because she was involved in the drug game, but that didn't stop Jackson from pursuing anyway to conquer the streets. Although he does eventually try and find who killed his mom for selling to certain people, that is not his motive to hustle in the streets. Jackson just believed, if he wanted to get out of the streets, he must master being in 'em (Cent).
