The founders of the Broken Glass theory are James Q. Wilson and George L. Kelling. According to them, Broken Glass theory is theory states that if there is any vandalism in a neighborhood or any area that “isn't” clean or looked bad, will attract crime. According to the CEBCP, this theory actually states that a disorderly look leads to increased fear and separation from neighborhoods, which then allows more serious crime to move in because of decreased levels of social control. The Broken Glass theory that was proposed by Kelling and Wilson 1982, their theory was a type of metaphor which was based of the disorders from the neighborhoods (McKee). In the 1900’s the theory took action and altered through the 21st century (McKee).
