Many people from all over migrate to the United States to
become successful, for better living or for better education. According to
Durand J, Telles E, and Flashman J's article " The Demographic Foundations
of the Latino Population", stated that the Latino population increased due
to migrating into new areas such as the south for economic reasons. With the
Latino population increasing it has impacted America with their potential for
the better and growth. "The foreign-born Latino population has increased
to nearly 20 times its size over the past half century, from less than 1
million in 1960 to 19.4 million in 2015"(Flores). One of the places where the Latino population
increased was in North Carolina around the 1900's. The Latino's migrated there
for better job and economic opportunities, that lead to the population of the
Latinos to grow immensely across the United States. (Lopez and Stepler.)
For the Hispanics that migrate to he U.S don’t have the same advantage like he people living here already. Hispanics come to the U.S to become successful and have a better future by with not living here, it has become a downside being here as well. For the Hispanics have disadvantages living in the United States because of the knowledge and experience that they have in the U.S education system and their social class (Schhneider, Ownes, and Martinez).
