GOULD MEMORIAL LIBRARY
The Gould Memorial Library is an old library located at Bronx Community College.
It’s a beautiful building on the inside with a bright light and amazing structure. It has an auditorium in the lower level and offices on the third floor. Along with the amazing status and design this building has, it also has many histories and was a victim of a protest many years ago by the student of the University of New York.
The Gould Memorial Library is a round building that catches the attention of everybody just by walking by its side. It has huge colon holding it on the inside and outside and around the building, it also has a circle on top of the building. And of course, can’t forget the beautiful art it has inside cover by glasses and the good build status.
The Gould Memorial Library affected me in different ways. The most beautiful building on campus that makes you feel like you are part of an old historical movie, every time I’ve got the time to go in, it is like an adventure. I believe this building should be taken more care of and student should appreciate it more. Another way it affected me, was when I found out that the building has many part or room destroy due to the maltreated and the old the building is. There have been ideas of rebuilding part of it or fix the parts that are damaged but, that will lead the campus with a cost of $300,000 which is not an easy number to collect. That makes me feel disappointed and sad that nobody has ever thought of a solution or an organization to come all together and give life to this building again. I hope that one day this building gets the treatment that it needs and we all can see the beauty of it again.
