"What is the baby thinking?"

"Jr." That's his name. Amazingly known for his beautiful art works alongside of walls and buildings. In the article that I read, I was trying to debate whether this article was a "serious" enough topic and it did take some time for me to realize that this is very important to me. This piece spoke to me louder than any news article ever has.

This man with the name recognized as Jr. created a beautiful master piece of a Mexican baby just over the border that separates the U.S and Mexico. He went about this several ways but that's not what this article is about. In his art work, the baby is looking down as if something caught his attention and his hands are positioned so that it looks as though he's holding the border. When I first saw this, I thought "Wow, such an innocent soul" then i started to think about how Trump eliminated DACA and how most of these children wont even be able to live their dream in the U.S all because they couldn't choose where their parents birthed them.

The same day his artwork was finished and ready to be seen, it spread across Mexico and the U.S like wildfire. The next day, he saw how families and even people that didn't have Mexican family came to see his work. While his interview, he stated "And of the thousands of comments that came on Instagram, nobody talked about DACA or Trump. It didn’t bring a political conversation, but a human conversation. ‘What is this kid thinking?’ It was really just a love message. No hate debate. I thought that was amazing, because when you’re working in a political conflict zone like that it’s always delicate." (Jr.)

When I read his response, it was simply beautiful. To be able to witness a masterpiece that can cause such conflict but do the exact opposite is amazing. People tend to forget that even us adults are still kids at heart. Everyone needs to give and accept more love because that's what we lack in most.
It's amazing - No judgement, no feelings, no awareness. Just a masterpiece of a baby bringing love at such a time of need.
