"Its a suite of threats" (Environmental Hazards) Is an accurate description of what Houston's residence are dealing with as the flood waters begin to descend after hurricane Harvey's destruction tore threw. Unfortunately, rebuilding is not the only worry the people of Houston are considering. Officials have now learned that toxic chemicals, sewage, waste and carcinogenic elements have likely mixed with the flood water, making the safety of the drinking water of many private wells questionable. To compound the latest natural disaster, officials are also concerned that damaged refineries have already released more than two million pounds of hazardous chemical substances into the air.
