Thinking of a Tomorrow Along with Immigrants

Imagen yourself leaving in a poor country where drugs and criminals are the common topics in society. Where the people in power such as, the government and business owners don’t do nothing but think about profit. What would be the plans of your life? The most common is to immigrate to another place looking for a new opportunity. Illegal immigrant is related to this idea.

            Paul Krugman a New York Times reported shares his opinion about the president of the United States Donald Trump, removing DACA. The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals is a program created for undocumented people to have the opportunity of attending to school and have a job. In “Dreamers, Liars and Bad Economics” Krugman disagree to the idea of removing Daca. Krugman believed that immigrants has done nothing wrong, that as a child it was not their choices to immigrated to a different country. He also expressed that by letting “Dreamers” work legally would help the economic in the U.S. growth. Moreover, he stated that the president, Trump came with the idea of removing DACA not only to send families to their home land but also, to give jobs back to the Americans.  Trump that claimed jobs has been stolen by immigrants. Catching my attention Krugman wrote “They are, according to all available date, an exemplary segment to our population: hard working young people, many seeking to improve themselves through higher education.” (Krugman)

            When discussing about undocumented student I believe we are not just talking about people coming to the country illegally. We are talking about children that has no idea what their parents were putting them through. I agree with Krugman that “the so-called Dreamers – have done nothing wrong; they came to the United States Illegally, but not of their own volition, because they were children at the time.” Other people will argue that Krugman did not mention the it’s true that undocumented people will get jobs faster than the Americans. But why blame the Dreamers for something that business owners do to keep their profit higher? They will employ an immigrant to pay them less and to not respect rules such as, having days off and getting pay the minimum wage. All of this conclude to not cancel or remove DACA. A better solution will be give them an opportunity of having jobs and education, allowing them to work as group and help the community by paying taxes.

            In conclusion, The U.S.  just like any other country needs young kids that are willing to educate them self and became   professional. Because young educated people will possibly be the better tomorrow for this country. The new generation will be the continuing and development of a better America.
