Social media users joins together to solve the death of an Chicago teen who was found dead in a walk-in freezer. As the story is still developing people have been using social media to put together the pieces of this tragic lost.
Over the weekend, a young woman by the name of Kenneka Jenkins was found dead in a walk-in freezer of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the Village of Rosemont. Illinois, just northwest of Chicago.
Kenneka Jenkins 19, was attended at a party at the hotel Friday night with friends when somehow during the night Jenkins got separated from her friends and was no where to be found. A missing person report was made by a family member on Saturday in hopes of finding Ms. Jenkins but still she didn't turn up. It wasn't until Sunday morning when apparently an Hotel employee stumble upon Ms.Jenkins' body in the hotel walk-in freezer.
Their many unanswered questions surrounding the wide-spread of speculation about this young lady death. The caused of her death still remains unclear. As the investigating is ongoing, many are still trying to figure out how did she gets separated from her friends. The police told the family that when they viewed the cameras they believed that she was so intoxicated that she wandering into the freezer and laid on the floor until she was found dead Sunday morning, But Jenkins' family doesn't believed that. They are sure that foul play was involved. Jenkins' mother is convince that someone that works at the hotel has something to do with the death of her daughter. According to the family the Hotel was very uncooperative and seem to be trying to hide something. So many people is outraged and demanding answers to know what happen to Kenneka Jenkins that night.Why out of everyone at that hotel party she's the only one who never returned home.
When videos and pictures from that night started surfacing the internet causing everyone to start their own investigating because the local polices was not doing enough. Its been brought to the public attention that Ms.Jenkins' could have been set up too be rape and murder by her Bestfriend who also works at that same Hotel for $200. Jenkins' Bestfriend also went live on Facebook at the Hotel party early Saturday morning, that video nearly reach 4 millions viewed. Apparently in the video there a conversation discussing rape and murder but due to the poor audio quality and several cross talk conversations in the background its difficult to hear.
Jenkins' family doesn't quite understand the area of the freezer that her body was found was under reconstruction and was not being used so how did the employee know to check the freezer when the area is closed off.
Kenneka Jenkins' murder has everyone attention nation-wide because this is unacceptable, she was only 19, she had so much more to live for and she deserve justice. According to reporters their no suspects yet and her family won't rest until they get justice for Kenneka Jenkins. The nations is behind the Jenkins' Family taking to their social media to express their deepest condolence and demanding answering for why this young lady life was taking from her.
